Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students started off with popping great time. "When we blow a bubble it’s like a brain full of knowledge,"one student commented. You can read more and see more pictures on our teacher's (Ms. Edwards) blog.
Students in grades K-8 attended Rachel's Challenge at Grand Coulee Dam Middle School to learn about starting a chain reaction of kindess, a ripple effect when when we treat others with respect and kindness.
Students who chose to accept the five challenges from Rachel's life signed Nespelem's Banner to accept the pledge.
Students in Grades 5 6 7 and 8 are carrying that pledge further by participating in International Dot Day. We will make our mark and make it matter. Kindness is a focus and pledge we make to make the world a better place. How? We've been learning about local people who have made a mark that mattered, and using lessons learned from their lives to choose to make a mark ourselves.
We hope you stop by to see our "Dot Gallery," and ask us how we are making a mark in the world.
