We thank our wonderful our 5th graders for their great citizenship on March 9, 2012 on our field trip! Be sure to see the Nespelem School Newsletter for the photo.
Loup Loup offered a free ski day for 5th graders which included lift ticket, rental equipment and lessons. Out of eleven 5th graders eight went skiing.
It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and the excitement was high.
They were all told they would have to wear helmets and they did so ALL day without complaining.
They had lessons for one and half hours. We then had a lunch break.
The school provided lunch plus hot chocolate. The kids also brought money and could buy at the concession stand.
They were on their own for the rest of the afternoon. Some stayed on the Bunny Hill, some went to the Junior Hill and one went to the top of the hill.
These students were helpful to each other, helping each other up when they fell down or just offering encouraging words to each other. They stayed outside practicing all day and we were there from 9 am to 4 pm. They had a blast, with lots of exercise and lots of fresh air.
Thank you for making this possible!
